Suited and booted! The Coronas live it up in Dubai

The Coronas are currently living it up in Dubai.

The Dublin rockers took to Instagram to show off their luxurious surroundings in the United Arab Emirates paradise and even suited up for a photo outside the world famous Burj Al Arab hotel.

“Team Coronas,” frontman Danny captioned the pic.

Coronas retain title in tight 4-2 win A crowd of around 4-5 people were in attendance in Al Chail, Dubai for the now infamous Coronas vs McGettigans annual challenge match. McGettigans took an early lead through Scott “John Lennon” Maher but The Coronas responded almost immediately with a sweet first-time Paulo DiCanio-esque volley from Man of the Match contender Graham “Paul Parker” Knox. Disaster struck just after the break for the Coronas when Karl “Vinny Jones” Crofton inadvertently guided the ball past Jim “Packie Bonner” Lawless into his own net, after some good work on the left flank Micheal “the Donegal destroyer” McBrearty. At 2-1 down the Coronas finally began to get a stronghold with Conor “Aguero” Egan causing problems for the Mcgettigans defence and Niall “Melon” Redmond rasping the crossbar with a fine left footed volley. The equaliser finally arrived when Alan “Frank Lampard” Breheny guided a left footer into the side netting. Crofton redeemed his earlier error by adding a third for the Coronas from a tight angle, with Coronas captain Danny “Kevin Kilbane” O’Reilly sealing at the death. It’s back to the drawing board now for Mcgettigans with rumours of chairman Dennis “Roman Abramavich” Mcgettigan planning wholesale changes to his staff in order to get their ever-elusive first victory. The Coronas take their fine form into outings at St John’s Castle in Limerick and two nights in the Marquee in Cork in June.

Meanwhile, the lads also took part in their annual match against McGettigans and came out victorious with a 4-2 result.

The trip marks Danny’s second time in Dubai in recent months after the singer took a trip with girlfriend Holly Carpenter to the middle eastern city in December.

It comes after Danny recently slammed a newspaper political ad after they used his name in their campaign without his consent.
