Pierce Brosnan has got social media in a stir after pictures emerged of the actor looking incredibly like Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams.
Currently filming his new flick The Chinaman with Jackie Chan, the Navan native bared an uncanny resemblance to the political figure with his greying hair and beard for the movie.
In film adaptation of Stephen Leather’s novel, the former 007 star signed up to play former IRA member turned government official Liam Hennessy.
While Jackie Chan plays a restaurant owner in London’s Chinatown who goes on a one-man mission to track down a group of Irish terrorista who are responsible for the death of his daughter.
Causing a storm on Twitter, fans of Pierce took to social media to share their thoughts on his likeness to Gerry:
