Peter Andre has opened up about his bond with his newborn baby girl, Arabella.
The TV personality and his wife, Dr. Emily, 34, welcomed their third child together at the beginning of April.
The singer has expressed that he has bonded with his baby girl in ways he hadn’t with his other children due to work.
Speaking to The Sun about if he and his wife would have any more children, the 51-year-old confessed: “This time we’re pretty sure it’s going to be our last one.”
“Well, never say never. I’m not 100 per cent, but I’m enjoying having time to bond with her.”
“I’ve not really had that chance before with the others because of work, so I’m grateful for how this has turned out.”
“The girls seem to have a natural instinct when it comes to babies,” he continued.
“But everyone wants time with her whenever they can. Junior goes to see her first thing. It is beautiful madness.”
“Emily gets less sleep than I do because she is breastfeeding, but I try to do the last feed and one of the early ones.”
Alongside their newborn baby girl, Peter and Emily are parents to daughter Amelia, 10, and son Theo, 8.
Peter is also father to daughter Princess, 16, and son Junior, 18, whom he shares with his ex-wife Katie Price.
After weeks of deliberations, the couple finally settled on a name for their daughter in May.
In a post shared on Instagram, Emily confirmed they had chosen the name Arabella Rose for their new addition.
Alongside a new picture on their little one, she wrote: “It’s taken a while but after lots of deliberation we’ve finally decided. Arabella Rose Andréa.”
However, writing in his column for new! magazine, Pete said: “Arabella is now seven weeks old – where has the time gone?”
“I still haven’t called Arabella by her name. I absolutely love it and she really suits it – but I still call her ‘bubba’.”
Pete, who is Greek Cypriot, also revealed how he is including his elderly parents in Arabella’s life, despite them living in Australia.
He said: “I’m on the phone to my mum and dad in Australia nearly every day. They met the baby by video call when she was just moments old.”
“I don’t feel right to leave Emily and the baby just yet to go over and visit, but this way it feels like they’re in the room and allows my parents to see those important first moments.”
“And they love the name Arabella, which in Greek is pronounced Arvela.”
Pete’s children all have the surname Andrea, which is his real surname.
The couple announced the birth of their third child last month, and asked fans for help picking their newborn daughter’s name.
Sharing photos of him and Emily holding their baby girl in hospital, the Mysterious Girl singer wrote: “Just minutes old…… We feel so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family.”
“Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy.”
“Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn’t be happier. Only thing is…. She has no name yet. Help!”
