Nicky Byrne has officially smashed his first Eurovision rehearsal on the big stage.
The Dublin native, who jetted to Stockholm this week to represent Ireland in the Eurovision, finally took to the stage in The Golden Arena in Stockholm – and he sound’s amazing so far.
“I always wanted to represent my country, I always wanted to fly the flag, I think everybody loves that part of the show.
“I also think if you get that opportunity, it’s a huge honour for anybody, ” Nicky said after his first rehearsal.
“I’ve been on rehearsals and I just love it, and I can’t wait to get out there.”
Despite Nicky admitting that he was nervous about his performance, this isn’t his first time performing in The Golden Arena as he took to the same stage twice before with Westlife.
The Eurovision Song Test Semi-Final is on next Thursday, May 12 on RTÉ.
