Happy Birthday HomeTown! We look back at the bands top 6 moments

Goss.ie’s favourite Irish boyband HomeTown are blowing out the candles on their birthday cake as they celebrate their 1st anniversary as a group.

Put together by Louis Walsh last year, members Ryan, Dean, Josh, Brendan, Cian and Dayl have been riding high in the charts ever since.

Taking a moment to look back on all their success over the past 12 months, Goss.ie go down memory lane to remember their top six moments so far.

1. Working with the biggest names in music

With names such as Kodaline and Ed Sheeran lending a helping hand to the boys songs, the band have been lucky to have worked with such huge names in music.

Only a year in the industry, the six-piece have been busy writing and recording with such musical heavy-weights creating unbelievably catchy tunes.

Getting to work with such big names is not only exciting for the band but also a compliment to their talent.

Going by their hits so far Goss.ie can’t wait to hear what their album will sound like.

2. Shooting music videos in exotic locations

Following the success of their first single, the six piece flew to South Africa to shoot their second music video Cry For Help.

Between filming in Cape Town, the lads got some time off to explore the Pretoria capital and the sites the South African city had to offer.

The boys shared numerous pics of themselves beside the sea, from the top of the famous Table Mountain and even quick photo of Ryan petting a cheetah, yes folks a cheetah, as you do.

HomeTown, your jet setting life doesn’t make Goss.ie jealous at all…

3. Olly Olly Olly

Riding high on the wave of their chart success, the popular boyband got to support Olly Murs in the 3Arena.

Joining the Trouble-Maker star on his Never Been Better European tour, the boys performed to a packed crowd over two nights.

The boys were sure to make the most of their time with the new X Factor presenter posting up photos with the popstar.

The Irish band got on so well with the singer that it looked like he was set to become the seventh member.

4. Performing in the Christmas Panto

The handsome six-piece made Christmas extra special late last year and appeared in Aladdin at The Olympia.

The lads got to star alongside Eurovision legend Linda Martin, IFTA’s presenter Simon Delaney and hilarious comedian Al Porter in the festive Panto.

To perform on the Olympia stage alone is feat but to appear in the Christmas panto – you’ve fulfilled all our childhood fantasies chaps!

5. Going straight to Number One TWICE

HomeTown rushed to the top of the Irish charts not once, but twice in the past year.

Yes, the lads first single Where I Belong debut at number one beating off competition from Ed Sheerhan and boyband heavy-hitters One Direction.

However that wasn’t enough for the young six-piece as they hit the top spot for yet again with their second single Cry for Help.

Rest assured, the band’s star is only rising and the last thing they need is a Cry for Help.

6. Moving to the UK

Following their massive success in Ireland it seems HomeTown are heading to the UK very soon to take on the UK charts.

The boys exclusively told Goss.ie the news last month that they were basing themselves across the pond to kick-start their campaign.

And not only that but there are rumours that they will be performing on The X Factor this year!

Here at Goss HQ, we say watch this space.
