Zayn Malik has revealed one of the strictest One Direction rules – he wasn’t allowed sing about sex.
The Bradford native found fame with his band on the X Factor in 2010 before leaving in March 2015 to start his own solo career.
“I was also able to sing about a subject that I hadn’t really been able to go near while I was in One Direction: sex,” he admitted.

The 23-year-old said that he felt he was on the right path when he finished working on his hit single Pillowtalk.
“Every lyric I’ve ever written has a story behind it,” the singer wrote in his autobiography.
“All the hard work that went into the creation of Pillowtalk was worthwhile because, as soon as it was finished, I intuitively felt I was on the right path.
“It was a sick cut, nailing the exact sound I wanted to capture in my music.”
Zayn’s autobiography is out in November and it’s very similar to Kim Kardashian’s selfie book.
