Ricky Martin is engaged to his partner Jwan Yosef.
The singer was discussing his residency in Las Vegas when conversation turned to his partner of seven months.
“We just got engaged. I’m sweating!” he announced.
Ricky admitted he was “nervous” proposing and tripped over his words as he asked Jwan to marry him.
“I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box,” he said on the Ellen Degeneres Show.
“I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying, ‘Will you marry me?’ I said, ‘I got you something!’
“Then he was like, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘I want to spend my life with you,’ and he was like, ‘What is the question?’ ‘Would you marry me?’ That’s it.”
Ricky described the proposal as “very beautiful” and it took him a whole 30 minutes to realise his partner said yes.
