Marion Cotillard reveals pregnancy – and denies Brad Pitt affair rumours

Marion Cotillard has announced that she is expecting her second child – while shooting down rumours that she had an affair with Brad Pitt.

Rumours were rife that the actor had an alleged affair with the Parisien actress, which led to his split from Angelina Jolie, which was revealed earlier this week after she filed for divorce.

Despite claims that Angelina had “made up” the rumours out of spite, Marion has finally set things straight through a statement on Instagram.

“This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into,” she wrote, both in English and French.

Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn’t distressing. And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery. Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment. Before confirming that she was expecting her second child with actor Guillaume Canet, whom she already has a five-year-old son, the brunette actress wished both Brad and Angelina peace during this “very tumultuous” time.
