Laura Whitmore lands HUGE stage role after Strictly gig

Laura Whitmore has landed a huge stage role, as she gears up to appear on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

While the presenter is putting her dancing skills to the test, the blonde beauty will be trying her hand at acting next, as she’s landed a role in upcoming thriller Not Dead Enough – based on bestselling author Peter James’ novel.

The Bray native will play mortuary assistant Cleo Morely in the show, which is due to open in April at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, between the 18th – 22nd.

Despite her love for presenting, Laura has always had a passion for the stage as she attended the Leinster School of Music and Drama in her teens.

“I studied drama and played some great roles, including Lady Macbeth and Annie in All My Sons.

“I have been waiting a long time to return to acting and for a great role like this to come along, so I can’t wait to get on stage in Dublin with Not Dead Enough,” she told the Herald.

The play will also tour around Britain, and will be directed by Ian Talbot – who previously won an Olivier award.

The news comes after the first official photo of Laura and her Strictly partner Giovanni Pernice was released – and she looks amazing.
