Lady Gaga set to play iconic fashion designer in upcoming series

The songstress will be joined by an American Horror Story colleague

Lady Gaga is set to play one of the world’s most iconic fashion designers Donatella Versace in the upcoming series of American Crime Story.

The Bad Romance singer is already familiar with the small screen, having appeared in the last two series of American Horror Story.

American Crime Story has taken on the songstress to star in their new series about the death of Gianni Versace, who was murdered in 1997 by serial killer Andrew Cunanan.

Donatella, who assumed control of her brother’s fashion empire after his death, is friends with Lady Gaga and even has a song dedicated to her.

According to Us Weekly, the 30-year-old will be teaming up again with American Horror Story writer Ryan Murphy who is actively casting the third season of American Crime Story.

The multi-award winning second season of the anthology TV show focused on the trial of O.J. Simpson and starred Sarah Paulson and Cuba Gooding Jr. who have also worked with both Ryan and Gaga on their horror show.

Lady Gaga will also be starring in the feature film A Star Is Born directed and written by Bradley Cooper.
