Bob Dylan has been awarded a Nobel Prize and people had very mixed reactions about the news.
The musician was honoured with the prize in Literature – making him the first ever songwriter to be given the award.
The Nobel Academy said he was given the honour “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”
The Minnesota native has worked in the music industry for 54 years and many congratulated him for his achievements.

But with every achievement there are set backs as many people took to Twitter to announce their disgust.

Those who were unhappy that Bob was honoured with a Nobel Peace Prize were confused by it.
Many said that a singer should not be classed as a writer and asked should music be considered literature.
