Katie Price faces arrest after dodging High Court hearing

It has been revealed that Katie Price is facing arrest after she dodged a High Court hearing over her bankruptcy.

The 45-year-old’s second bankruptcy was revealed last month after she failed to pay over £750,000 in unpaid tax.

The former glamour model is also at risk of losing her home “Mucky Mansion” if the HMRC are unable to recover the money.

Katie was due to give evidence about her finances to the High Court today but failed to show up.

At the beginning of the hearing a lawyer announced that the reality star was unable to attend.

According to The Sun, one barrister said to the judge: “It’s quite apparent that the evidence was filed very late and not even filed with the court.”

“We are in a very serious situation as a consequence. She may be held in contempt of court, imprisoned, fined or a warrant issued for her arrest.”

Last month, a judge ruled Katie be declared banckrupt after she has failed to pay money owed or responded to any correspondence about unpaid tax.

With the second bankruptcy faced she is being chased by creditors for £3.2million after her company Jordan Trading Ltd, which sells perfume and cosmetics, failed.

Appearing on the comedy podcast Straight to the Comments!, Katie spoke about her stressful financial situation.

The hosts told Katie there was a new story about her, to which she gasped in shock and asked: “Has it? Oh get lost! Are you actually serious, while I’m sat here? What have I done now?”

After being told that she had been declared bankrupt a second time, she said she had been signed off because of “serious stuff” in her life.

She said: “I know I had court last week or the week before. Because of what’s going on in my life, I’ve actually been signed off because I’m dealing with serious stuff.”

However, the mother-of-5 claimed that she “doesn’t get away” with not paying and insists she is paying her dues back piece by piece.

She explained: “There’s all different kinds of bankruptcy, I think they just use the word bankruptcy. No one actually knows the ins and outs of everything.”

“And trust me I don’t get away with stuff either. Like you can’t – tax you can’t ever run away from, you have to pay. Don’t think I sit here and don’t pay stuff because I do.”
