Ariana Grande has reportedly broken up with Ricky Alvarez – and the the singer welcomes the change.
Ariana’s lowkey relationship with backup dancer Ricky was revealed last year in the infamous ‘doughnut-gate’ surveillance video, which not only showed the star licking doughnuts, but also caught her kissing Ricky.
After a year, the two have broken up, a source told E!News. “She broke up with him. He didn’t cheat or anything, they just found it difficult to make it work. They are still friends though.”
They added that the pop starlet is “happy to be single and do her for a little while.” Ariana seemed to confirm the news by deleting all Instagram evidence of her past relationship and tweeting vaguely about change:

The singer even got a new haircut. She now sports a fringe with her signature ponytail.
Ariana seems to be taking the split very well. Last year, Ariana amicably ended a relationship with Big Sean, telling V Magazine that “it wasn’t that hard.”
