These Bridgerton co-stars are dating in real life

Bridgerton co-stars Bessie Carter and Sam Phillips have sparked romance rumours after meeting on season three of the show.

Bessie plays the role of Prudence Featherington on the hit Netflix show, while Sam plays the role of the “naturalist” Lord Debling.

The pair have been romantically linked for a few months after being photographed at several events with Bessie’s famous family.

The actress comes from a hugely successful showbiz family with her father Jim Carter playing a key role in the hit series Downton Abbey, and her mother Imelda Staunton playing Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown.

The pair were first pictured together in May 2023 as they attended a West End Gala after-party at Tequila Mockingbird in London.

Then in November 2023, the pair attended the Wonka premiere together with Bessie’s mother Imelda, 68.

Since then, the couple have been spotted together at many events sparking romance rumours.

Another rumoured pair is Luke Thompson, who plays the second-oldest Bridgerton sibling Benedict, and Harriet Cains, who plays the other Featherington sister, Philippa.

The two were first linked in January when they appeared together at Vanity Fair’s EE Rising Star Party for the BAFTA Awards.

Fans also recirculated an Instagram post made about Luke back in 2021.

The post featured a picture of Luke surrounded by heat emojis alongside the caption: “My favourite Luke soz @lukenewtonuk”

Bridgerton’s third season has received millions of views, just four days after it landed on Netflix.

The latest season of the hit Netflix show sees Irish star Nicola Coughlan take centre stage alongside Luke Newton, as we follow Penelope Featherington’s quest to find a husband with the help of the third Bridgerton brother Colin.

Following its release, What’s On Netflix has reported the new season of the romance series has pulled in 45.1 million views within just four days.

Part 1 of season three reportedly scored 165.20 million viewing hours, which equals 45.10 million views, with the platform having said: “This is only the beginning.”

In a press release released, they said: “Spring has sprung, which means it’s finally #Polin (not pollen) season.”

“Part 1 of Season 3 of Shonda Rhimes’ Bridgerton debuted at #1 on the English TV List, racking up 45.1M views.”
