There’s going to be a Late Late Toy Show DOCUMENTARY

The Late Late Toy Show is giving viewers a chance to peak behind the scenes of the much-loved Christmas special.

RTÉ are filming a three-part documentary series, giving audiences unprecedented access to how Ireland’s favourite programme is created.

“We really want to capture the joy and excitement of the performers taking part in The Late Late Toy Show,” series producer Hillary Jones said.

In 2015, RTE showed The Late Late Toy Show Unwrapped which gave a look into what goes on during the auditions, but this year the broadcaster will be showing viewers will be diving right into the middle of it all.

“Last year, The Late Late Toy Show Unwrapped, gave viewers a small glimpse of the regional auditions as we looked back over the history of the show but this year we’re bringing them right into the heart of the process,” Hillary revealed in a press release.

“For the children auditioning this is a once in a lifetime experience. We’re aiming to give viewers a real insight in how the biggest night on Irish television comes together by following some of the little stars auditioning to take part and going behind the scenes with the team who put the show together.”

The Late Late Toy Show Unwrapped will be screened in the week before this year’s The Late Late Toy Show which airs on RTÉ 1 on Friday, December 2nd.
