Red Rock star Denise McCormick is happy to get “steamy” on the TV3 soap – after her sex scenes with Nidge in Love/Hate.
The Dublin actress – who played Fran’s moll Linda in the RTE gangland drama – is part of the new cast of the seaside-set drama.
And Denise, who is a married mum-of-two, has no fears about doing whatever is necessary to tell the story of her character – Bridget Kiely.

She said: “This lets the audience make up their own minds – some soaps tend to over-sell the story. Sex is part of life isn’t it? And we’re telling stories.”
And IFTA nominee Denise admitted there have already been some “hot scenes” in the show – including on her first day of filming.
She coyly added: “It’s not a sex-scene. It’s more a rekindling of romance.”
Denise is one of the biggest names to be part of Red Rock, which comes after the dramatic exit of Linda from Love/Hate after taking her own life following a pipe bomb attack.

And Denise – whose husband in the show is played by Paul Roe, who also had a minor role in Love/Hate – said all the steamy scenes were handed excellently by the producers.
She told the Herald: “The director Matt was lovely – he was very much about what we were comfortable with. It’s about the story – if the story needs it, go for it.”
