Kim Kardashian has revealed the “real” reason why she skipped the 2024 Met Gala after-parties.
As always, the reality star commanded attention on the carpet on the 6th May 2024.
The 43-year-old turned heads in a custom Maison Margiela dress by John Galliano, which featured a waist-cinching corset and sheer embellished skirt.

Vogue even shared a video of the mother-of-four struggling to breathe as she tightened her corset ahead of fashion’s biggest night to their Instagram.
Kim can be seen at the start of the video taking long, slow breaths as the director asks her: “How is the breathing going?
“It’s an art form. But I got it,” the reality star replied.

Many fans assumed that it was Kim’s uncomfortable outfit that deterred her from attending the after-parties, however, the 43-year-old has refuted this claim and set the record straight.
The SKIMS founder travelled straight to Europe after the gala as she was booked to speak at the 2024 OMR Festival in Hamburg, Germany on May 7th and 8th.
In an interview with People, Kim said: “I went from there to the plane, slept on the plane and here I am.”
Kim also added: “It was really good to not go to all the after-parties. It’s not really my thing to go out so it was the perfect excuse, because I really wanted to come here.”
The 43-year-old landed in Hamburg at 3 pm on Tuesday after walking the red carpet at 7 pm New York time on Monday night.
Germany is six hours ahead of New York which made both of her appearances just 13 hours apart, with the flight time from one city to the other being nine hours.

It’s safe to say fans were not happy with her sweater and took to social media to question why she spoiled the top of her dress by covering it up.
