Michael Fassbender is just one of the Irish stars set for Graham Norton’s New Year’s Eve show.
The popular BBC chat show will have a huge list of star-studded guests on the special episode, including the Kerry man’s X-Men co-star and pal James McAvoy.
However, the actors won’t be there to talk about their box office hit but their own separate projects – Michael will be chatting about his new movie Assassin’s Creed and James is set to reveal what fans can expect from his thriller with M Night Shyamalan, Split.

Also on the couch on December 31st are Olympic gold medalists Gary and Paul O’Donovan, known for the hilarious interviews they gave after winning this summer in Rio.
Graham spoke highly of the brothers after their win and even came to their defence when Maria McErlane took a pop at them.
“It just kind of reinforced things about Irish people . . . they’re very good at rowing, they weren’t so great at talking,” she said.
But the Cork native was quick to show support and hit back saying, “I thought they were very good at talking because they know they’re funny.
“They are trying to be funny! Well, that’s what everyone in Skibbereen says, that they are very funny boys. They are ‘the funny rowing brothers.”
