Damo and Ivor star Andy Quirke: 'I was a menace back in school'

He’ s extremely successful after creating his alter egos Damo and Ivor, but Andy Quirke wasn’t always so ambitious.

The Dublin actor, who is the man behind RTE series Damo and Ivor has revealed he was a nightmare when he was younger.

Andy admitted over 186 notes were sent home to his parents during school, but he forged letters back to his teachers.

“I’d sign them all and send them back. Of course then the teacher would say, ‘I’d really like to meet your parents’ and you’d write back that we can’t meet up for various reasons,” he said.
