Caught out: Rachel Stevens and Una Foden claim to be 'massive' Voice fans – but can't name ONE winner

New Voice of Ireland coaches Rachel Stevens and Una Foden have admitted they can’t name a single winner of the show.

The S Club star and the Saturdays singer have joined the RTE One show as its new coaches – after Jamelia and Dolores O’Riordan quit.

However Una and Rachel were both caught out when they claimed to be massive fans of the show.

Speaking at the Voice’s launch, Una said: “It’s a dream come true to be involved”. And Rachel said: “I watch the show every weekend with the kids.”

However Una and Rachel were caught short when questioned as to whether they could name any of the previous Irish winners.

After both looking horrified, Rachel was forced to admit: “Well no I don’t suppose I could.”

It comes as Una has vowed they won’t bring a series of catfights to the series, and are already getting on well.

The Tipperary singer added that she also hopes to find proper talent out of The Voice – unlike on the X Factor.

She added: I think the X Factor focuses a lot on the early stages where people come in for the laugh, whereas everyone coming in to this are all keen to be singers.

“You’re listening with your ears because a lot of people these days listen with their eyes.

“I think it’s so nice to be able to hear the voice just completely naked on its own. When you turn around you’ll be surprised for loads of different reasons that you wouldn’t put that voice with how they look.”
