Amy Huberman gushes about co-star in touching tribute

The Dubliner first worked with the actor back in 2009

Amy Huberman has posted a touching tribute to her co-star Sean McGinley.

The actor is best known for starring in films like Mel Gibson’s Braveheart and the cult classic The Butcher Boy.

Sean first worked with the actress in 2001 when he played her father in On Home Ground.

Amy worked with the Donegal native again this year on a TV show for TG4.

It might look here like I’m partaking in the chicken dance and/or like doing very average impressions of T Rex’s. Spoiler alert: neither of these are happening (here). My friend Tom Sullivan has directed a new comedy #firbolg that starts tomorrow night 9.30 on @tg4tv and I got to film a fun little scene with all round ledge head Sean McGinley who was my first ever on-screen Dad in On Home Ground in 2001!! And the reunion was so touching and beautiful I only wish Oprah had been there to witness a father and daughter who are not related at all reunite and act out another scene together! Sean is dealing with the emotional rollercoaster here by sipping hot sugary tea. The end. Well not really, because it starts tomorrow. Go Tom!!
