Aidan Turner’s topless scene in Poldark has kickstarted a new crazy trend.
In the first season of the show, the Dubliner’s character starred in a shirtless scything scene and won the best TV moment of 2015.
Now thanks to that one scene, scything courses have exploded up over the UK due to the high demand.

Chris Riley, who teaches the 2,000-year-old skill, is based in Dorset and admitted demand for his training has doubled since Aidan’s topless scene.
“More and more people are now aware of scything, so that is all good. A significant proportion of those coming on my courses have been inspired by Aidan,” he told The Sun.
“Mowing with a scythe is satisfying and fun. It enables you to be more aware of the wildlife around you and helps create wildflower meadows.
“At the last course I did two weeks ago, a man took off his shirt so a friend could take a photo of him for a giggle. But most take it seriously.”
Aidan admitted that it was his idea to take his shirt off for the now famous scene.
