Maritess McCarthy was crowned the winner of Best Dressed Lady at the 2023 Galway Races on Thursday, August 3rd.
The fashionista, who hails from Douglas in Co. Cork, works as a Cardio-Thoracic Theatre Nurse at Cork University Hospital.
Maritess stunned in a red midi-skirt, which she paired with an ornate shirt that featured balloon sleeves, red slingback stilettos, and an eye-catching headpiece to match.
Maritess was delighted by the honour, and took home a huge cash prize of €10,000.
Hundreds of stylish women descended on the Ballybrit racecourse on Ladies Day on Thursday, hoping to get shortlisted for the Best Dressed title.
Social media star Rachel Gorry, model and businesswoman Mandy Maher, and style influencer Kieran O’Malley judged the competition – and ultimately chose Maritess as their winner.
Anne Marie Corbett also won the Best Hat competition, sponsored by the Connacht Hotel, winning a prize of €3,000.
