Yvonne Keating opens up about her divorce: 'We've all moved on'

Yvonne Keating has revealed she and Ronan have completely moved on from their marriage.

The model and columnist is now officially divorced from the Boyzone singer, with their divorce legalised last week.

Speaking about the split, Yvonne said seeing the divorce reports in the press has been difficult.

“It’s kind of strange because it all happened such a long time ago,” she said.

“In this country it takes four years to get divorced so to see it back in the papers again is really bizarre.

“I drew a line a long time ago so it’s obviously just a formality – we’ve all moved on.”

Speaking on TV3’s Ireland AM, Yvonne admitted their three children Missy, Ali and Jack already thought the couple were divorced, and have dealt with the split well.

“I think they kind of thought we were divorced,” she explained.

“It’s a legal formality and something we’ve gone through a long, long time ago.

“It does take them a long time to adjust and they’ve been great. I’m really proud of them. “It does bring it all back up again,” she admitted.

“They didn’t know everything at the time but as they get older they’re more aware.

“Once you have children, divorce is not easy, you’re in each other’s lives forever,” she said.

Meanwhile the model mum admitted that she understood why journalists and paparazzi were parked outside her Dublin home when she first split from Ronan.

“It was unfortunate for everyone involved but I was always aware that it was people doing their jobs really and most people on the other side of my gate I knew.

“I knew all the journalists and I knew all the photographers.

“Most of them were quite sensitive and just doing their jobs and have editors putting pressure on them to get stories, sometimes I felt for some of them as well,” she said.
