With the news that Dean Strange from Making A Murderer will be giving a talk in Vicar Street this month, Goss.ie can reveal producer of The Jinx Marc Smerling is also in town.
Marc is joining a stellar list of speakers at this year’s Media Con, taking place in Dublin castle September 13th and 14th.
As the man behind one of the most sensational documentaries of the last decade will be talking about the fascination with crime documentaries and what it was like making his award winning HBO documentary.
The Jinx got huge publicity when Robert Durst accidentally confessed to his murders while a microphone he was wearing for the documentary was still on.
The six-part documentary made headlines all over the world, and Marc will be talking through the process of filming the show, which focused on one of the biggest murder cases in American history.
Marc will be speaking at 4.45 tomorrow at City Hall, tickets can be bought HERE.
Other stars speaking at Media Con this week include Virgin Media CEO Tony Hanaway, who will be speaking about the recent TV3 takeover, the new Director General of RTE Dee Forbes will speak to Tom Lyons from the Sunday Business Post in her first interview since landing the job, as well as head of commissions from ITV, Channel 5, BBC and SKY.
