Nicky Byrne has posted a heartbreaking tribute to his late father Nicky Snr, seven years after his death.
The Westife star, who lost his father suddenly back in 2009 due to a heart attack, previously described his father as “the coolest dad in the world”.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, the 2fm host posted throwback snaps of him and his dad.
“Can’t believe my Dad is 7years gone today. Wow,” Nicky wrote.

Nicky was left heartbroken when he was told his father had passed away while on a promotional tour with Westlife in London.
The star was extremely close to his father, and even joked that he might wear his late dad’s Irish jersey while representing Ireland in the Eurovision earlier this year.
Nicky also shared a sweet snap of him and Nicky Snr, which read, “My dad, my best mate and my inspiration”.
