Niall has embarked on a solo career

Niall Horan has admitted that he’s “nostalgic” doing talk shows without the One Direction boys.

The band split earlier this year and broke the hearts of fans worldwide –  but the Mullingar man has launched his own solo career.

He admitted that setting foot in the NBC studios in Rockefeller Plaza brought back fond memories of doing the same thing with the his bandmates.

He appeared alone on Today Show in New York city to promote his debut solo single This Town and said to the hosts, “I was just saying to everyone this morning how nostalgic it is to be back here.

“I don’t know if you remember, but all the times that we were here, all the streets were full of fans and stuff like that, so you never get used to that.”

Niall also spoke about how it is embarking on his solo career. “It’s a daunting prospect, but the song’s good and I’m enjoying making the album and stuff like that.

“So it’s been a fun process and something that I’m sure I’ll get used to as time goes on.”
