Mairead Ronan has opened up on expecting her second child.
The broadcaster, who acts as producer for the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Today FM, is expecting a baby with her husband Louis, who she wed last last year.
Speaking about the pregnancy, Mairead admitted that it’s been a breeze this time around, in comparison to when she was expecting her first child Dara, who she had from a previous relationship.
“It makes me laugh because this pregnancy has been so easy compared to being pregnant with Dara at 26 when I was vomiting for four and a half months, with headaches and falling asleep at 6pm every night,” she revealed in VIP Magazine.

“Now I’m working three jobs, so it’s hilarious that people say that. I was fitter and healthier getting pregnant this time and that probably has a lot to do with it. I felt amazing getting pregnant and I’d love to have more after this one.”
The 36-year-old also admitted that she didn’t think she would ever have another baby, and feels “very lucky” to be expecting again.
“I honestly didn’t think I’d have another baby because of how my life went. I thought I was blessed to have Dara, a very healthy, easy boy.
“I do feel very, very lucky. Not everyone gets that chance when a marriage breaks down to get married again when another child is possible. I’ve been very lucky,” she gushed.

Meanwhile, Mairead has nothing but praise for her eight-year-old son Dara, and revealed just how close her and Louis are with him.
“He’s with his dad every second weekend, so when he’s with us, we never go out without him and that’s the way it’s been since he was three.
“When we were getting married last year, he kept calling it our wedding because it was really was our wedding.
“He made an amazing speech, he’s a little grown-up. He’s a very easy kid and if I were Miriam O’Callaghan, I’d have eight Dara’s! But for now, I’ll settle with this one coming and then who knows?” she added.
