Louise Cooney ‘gutted’ as she pulls out of Electric Picnic gig at the last minute

Louise Cooney has pulled out of her scheduled appearance at Electric Picnic today.

The influencer, who is expecting her first child, was set to host a live episode of her podcast Open Book at the festival on Friday, but it’s no longer going ahead.

In a post shared on Instagram, the social media star said she wouldn’t be able to attend the event for “reasons beyond my control”.

Louise wrote: “For anyone going to EP and planning on coming to see me at the podcast stage today, I’m gutted and so disappointed to say I sadly won’t be there anymore for reasons beyond my control.

“All is fine and there’s no drama but I just don’t want anyone to go out of their way to make it to then be disappointed.

“I was so looking forward to it but it wasn’t to be this year, enjoy the weekend if you’re going!! The lineup looks insane,” she added.

The Limerick native is currently eight months pregnant, and recently moved into a new home with her boyfriend Mark Sweeney.

The mum-to-be announced her pregnancy via Instagram back in May.

At the time, Louise shared a photo of her and Mark holding a baby scan alongside the caption: “Soon to be 3 👶🏼❤️ We’ve never known this much happiness and excitement 🥰#2023baby.”

In a YouTube video documenting her first trimester, Louise also revealed she and Mark do not know the sex of their baby.

She explained: “We’re not going to find out the sex, we’re going to wait for the surprise, which is so exciting.

“Just that thought of the moment where they give you your baby and tell you, that again is just like magic.”
