Jim Carrey has given a moving tribute to Irish makeup artist Cathriona White – who died in an apparent suicide.
The Tipperary native had been living in LA and was dating the Hollywood star until last week.
“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona.
“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled,” the 53-year-old actor told ET in a statement.
“My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her.”
“We have all been hit with a lightning bolt,” he continued.
Jim and Caithriona had been dating on and off since meeting in 2012.
