Eoghan spoke exclusively to Goss.ie ahead of the 3Countdown Concert taking place in St. Stephen’s Green on New Year’s Eve, which he will be MC’ing.

Eoghan also revealed the low point of his year, “I was genuinely devastated when Alan Rickman died. I love Alan Rickman, so much. I interviewed him twice so I’d be a huge fan of his.”
While the 2fm DJ admitted that he’s never usually too fond of New Years Eve as it always gets “a bit scatty” – he’s looking forward to this year.
“I’ve genuinely never had a brilliant new years, I find that it gets a bit scatty.
“It gets a little bit difficult for everyone to stay together and get served a drink and whatnot. So it’s just to be hopefully out in decent weather with brilliant music sounds lovely.”

The 33-year-old also spoke about his recent interview with Jennifer Aniston – in which he got her to say Irish phrases in her best Irish accent, which really wasn’t the best.
“It was terrible. But to be fair to her she was game. I was just glad she went with it,” he laughed.
