Conor McGregor has ranked in Ireland’s most indescribable moments of 2016 with his retirement tweet in April of this year.
The Crumlin native’s tweet ranked number nine in the top moments overall, and number six in the top sporting moments of 2016.
Conor’s tweet beat out Kim Kardashian’s naked selfies and the frenzy that surrouned Harry Styles cutting off his hair.

Other top moments included in the poll included the revelation that Game of Thrones character Jon Snow was not dead, as well as Cheryl finding love with One Direction’s Liam Payne.
The poll was carried out by Domino’s and also revealed that 2016 has been one of the most unpredictable years in memory with the passing of so many of the worlds best loved names, including David Bowie, Alan Rickman and Prince.
