Fiona O'Carroll admits she thinks her father may retire soon

Fiona O’Carroll has revealed that she thinks her father Brendan O’Carroll may leave Mrs. Brown and decide to retire.

The actor became a household name when he starred as Dublin housewife and true Irish mammy Agnes Brown and went on to win multiple awards including Best Comedy at the IFTAs this year – but it may all be coming to an end.

“Life is short. I don’t know for how much longer my dad is going to tour – he may decide to retire,” she said.

“When that day comes, I’ll be happy to do lots of different things,” she told The Irish Sun.

“For now, I’m in the lucky position to get to perform with my father and take my children to work if I want to.

“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Christmas: The actress admitted that her father travels home from Florida to Dublin to celebrate with them | VIPIRELAND.COM

Despite Brendan living in Floria with his wife Jenny O’Carroll, the family are still close and spend Christmas morning together.

“Dad lives in Florida. But when he’s home, he’s only a few doors down the road,” Fiona explained.

“Since my parents’ separation, we always do Christmas morning with my dad.

“He goes out and gets matching Christmas pyjamas for the entire family with names on them. So we’re like the Von Trapps.”
