Ben Foden: 'Una doesn't mind me flirting with women – we trust each other'

Ben Foden has claimed his wife Una doesn’t mind him chatting to pretty girls – as their relationship is that strong.

The English rugby player married the Irish Saturdays singer in 2012, and have daughter Aoife Belle together, as well as expecting a second.

And Ben, 29, said that despite rumours he was flirting with females at V festival while Una was at home – his Voice of Ireland coach wife doesn’t mind.

Loved-up: Ben says Una totally trusts him

He said: “I think things like that are always going to happen when you’re in the public eye.

“People are always going to see you and I think people take a lot of things out of context when you’re in an environment like that.

“I was there with my rugby friends, my wife knew I was there. Vanessa from the Saturdays was there and I was having drinks with her.

“It’s a social environment, I’m going to talk to girls, you know and I’m comfortable with that and my wife is comfortable with that.

“We have complete trust in each other, so it’s not a problem so long as I’m honest. Like I said, people are going to say things and say, ‘Oh I saw Ben Foden speaking to this blonde girl,’ and it could be my sister for anyone knows.

“That’s going to happen but as long as Una trusts me that’s fine.”

And Ben told the Mirror that it is to be expected that he will have women flock to him.

He said: “Being rugby players and being loud and boisterous we do attract attention as well, but as long as we deal with the attention in the right way and not the wrong way, then we’ll be fine.”
