Sarah Ferguson ‘to be included in the coronation celebrations’ – after being ‘snubbed’ by King Charles

Sarah Ferguson will reportedly be included in the historic coronation celebrations, after previous reports that she was “snubbed” by King Charles III.

The 74-year-old and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles will be crowned the UK’s new sovereigns on Saturday, May 6.

The monarch ascended to the throne following this death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, last September.

According to an initial report by The Independent, Sarah, the Duchess of York was “snubbed” by King Charles, after not receiving an invitation to his coronation.

The 63-year-old was married to the monarch’s brother Prince Andrew until 1996, and the former couple still live together.

It is understood that Prince Andrew has been invited to the coronation, along with his and Sarah’s two daughters – Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

It has since been reported by The UK Sun that Sarah will be a “VIP attendee” at the Windsor Castle Concert on the day after the coronation – Sunday, May 7.

A royal insider said Sarah would “never have expected an invitation to the Coronation, adding that “she is delighted to be joining the wider family for the Coronation Concert.”

“She cherishes those more relaxed times with the family and, contrary to some reports, is fully accepting of the situation.”

“She did, of course, join the family for the Sandringham Christmas celebrations, so it’s clear there is no ill will in either direction. Quite the contrary.”

The BBC announced the full line-up for the Windsor Castle Concert last week – including huge acts such as Katy Perry, Take That, Lionel Richie and Andrea Bocelli.
