2FM bosses are being pig-headed keeping Ryan Tubridy in their schedules, it has been claimed.

He said: “At the heart of their schedule, they have a self-confessed, bookish nerd who likes discussions about ‘concentration camps’ and finds the whole culture of texting and social media to be anathema to his interests.
“The inescapable truth that Ryan Tubridy is out of place on 2FM, and would fit more comfortably into Radio 1, is screaming out.
“Yet RTE bosses seem determined, out of sheer pig-headedness, to make a square peg like Ryan fit into a round hole like 2FM.”

He added in his Herald column that change needs to happen as 2FM look for people who are “less willing to be intellectually-stimulated audience”.
It comes after 4FM’s Niall Boylan insisted that Tubs was on his ‘last legs’ in 2FM.
