What's another year? Not for Johnny Logan as he vows NEVER to make Eurovision return

Eurovision legend Johnny Logan has vowed to never represent Ireland at the annual competition.

The 60-year-old won the Eurovision twice – with What’s Another Year in 1980, and Hold Me Now in 1987.

However Johnny has refused to give it another shot despite Linda Martin – whose winning song, Why Me, he composed – promising she’d go back if he would duet.

Asked if he’d go back, he said: “No. I appeared in the one in Denmark last year, but that was a paid job. I did that for Danish TV and it was fun, actually.”

He also turned down RTE in 2009 when they asked him to represent them without enough pay to make him happy.

However Johnny is still rolling in the cash from performances around Europe.

He told the Herald: “All my band are from Denmark and I just arrived back from there on Monday morning.

“I’ve been on tour for six weeks so when I got back to Ireland I slept for 15 hours.”
