Nicky Byrne has admitted he never speaks to members of Westlife anymore.
The singer who was in the international pop band for 14 years shocked fans by revealing the band have no reason to speak anymore.
When asked by Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show if the lads are still in touch with each other, Nicky said:
“No, none of us are I don’t think.”

“We don’t talk unless we have to talk…there’s nothing to talk about. But we never fell out, well of course we fell out, sometimes we killed each other but I mean there was no big fight or scrap when we decided to end.
“It’s not purposely done,” he explained.
“But everybody’s doing their own thing, it impossible not to know how everyone’s doing with Twitter especially.
“I bumped into Kian just once since the Farewell tour in 2012. We all wish each other the best of luck,” he added.

Meanwhile Nicky admitted he found it tough when lead singers Mark and Shane always got more vocals on their most popular singles.
When Ryan asked if he got fed up constantly singing in the background Nicky said:
“Yeah absolutely of course you do, I was in a band that was taking over the world.”
“But they were the best singers. I knew I was a decent singer going into the band, but the confidence is knocked out of you when you’re not being used on the lead vocals,” he admitted.

“On tour you get to show a bigger side, cause there you’re in charge. So my fans got to hear me sing.”
Nicky also revealed he has written 11 new solo singles, with 9 already recorded and admitted he plans to release a solo album soon.
