Louis Walsh has blasted U2 for releasing their album for free online, insisting: It has been an absolute “disaster”.
The Dubliners have been slammed by other musicians after their decision to give Songs of Innocence to half a billion iTunes users for nothing.
And Apple has also been forced to explain to users now how to remove the unwanted U2 album from their iTunes libraries.
But X Factor judge Louis insisted they wouldn’t have made the mistakes if they had retained former manager Paul McGuinness – who looked after them for 35 years.

“It’s obvious that U2 are missing Paul McGuinness already. The album release has been a bit of a disaster,” he said.
“It backfired in many ways. I don’t think this would ever have happened if Paul was still in charge.
“He is probably the best manager in the world. He would have steered them in the right direction.”
And Louis insisted that U2 would be “nothing” without McGuinness.
“Paul McGuinness made them, full stop. They would be nowhere without him He believed in them when no-one else did,” he told the Star.”
