Eurovision legend Johnny Logan has claimed pop duo Jedward never had a chance of winning the Eurovision.

The Irish musician has insisted the X Factor stars were never good enough to make it all the way.

Speaking exclusively to Goss.ie, the singer revealed: “I think that the songs Jedward had were great, it’s just that I don’t think Jedward were good enough, that’s the reality. I don’t think they were good enough singers.”

“At the end of the day that came through, the songs that they sang were both really good songs, there was nothing wrong with the songs if you’re going for that market,” he said.

The Eurovision star explained that to win the competition an act really has to have the whole package together.

“You need a package, when Loreen (Sweden) won the song contest with Euphoria but also the way they presented it was just her with a dancer it reminded me of Kate Bush – that type of image.”

“It was perfect, the whole presentation was perfect and we can do that, if it’s seen in the right setting in Ireland we can do that.”
