Call it a comeback: Bressie wants to reunite with the Blizzards again after quitting music

Voice of Ireland coach Bressie is hoping to reunite with the Blizzards – and finally release some new music.

The RTE star ended his solo music career in January, admitting he has been unhappy on stage ever since his band split up.

But Bressie – who ended his recording contract with Sony – is now hopeful that the Blizzards could make a triumphant comeback.

Getting back together: Bressie would like to see Blizzards reunite

Asked if he wants to get back with the Blizzards, he told Star Chic: “I’d love to. I didn’t have the hunger for it for a while there, and the lads are busy, but I’d love to make music together again.”

Earlier this year, Bressie said that he “never fully warmed” to gigging on his own despite his two solo albums being massive chart successes.

He said: “Coming from a garage band background with The Blizzards, where songs were crafted and rehearsed, I never fully warmed to being a solo artist.

‘And if truth be told, I found it quite difficult being away from the band environment. Until I am hungry to perform again, I feel I’ve got to go with where my passion lies at the minute.”
