Adele postpones Las Vegas residency due to illness

Adele has postponed her Las Vegas residency due to an illness.

The British singer began her residency in November 2022 and ran to March 2023, before beginning her second leg which ended last November.

She then announced an extension of her residency.

In a post on social media, the 35-year-old announced that she has postponed 10 dates due to an illness.

Apologising to fans for the “inconvenience”, she explained she had not fully recovered after falling ill at the end of the last leg of her Weekends With Adele residency, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

She wrote: “Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency.”

“I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break.”

“I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice.”

“And so on doctors’ orders, I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining five weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date.”

Addressing her fans, the Set Fire to the Rain singer said: “I love you” and “I’ll miss you like mad.”

It’s the second time the Tottenham-born singer has postponed her Las Vegas show dates.

The start of the January 2022 residency was abruptly postponed due to COVID and instead ran from November 2022 until March 2023.

Aside from the 10 dates she postponed, Adele has five more weekends lined up in Vegas in May and June.
