Tori Spelling has filed for divorce from Dean McDermott after 18 years of marriage.
The couple listed the date of separation as June 17, 2023, the same day that Dean revealed they had separated on Instagram.
In the court documents, it was stated that the couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce.
Tori has requested that the court award her spousal support and terminate her former husband’s ability to receive the same support.
The 90210 star also asked for sole physical custody of their five children — Liam Aaron McDermott, 17, Stella Doreen, 15, Hattie Margaret, 12, Finn Davey, 11 and Beau Dean, 7.
However, the mother-of-five has asked for joint legal custody with his visitation rights to be determined at a later date.
The filing did not reveal whether the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place.
Tori also stated that the extent of their respective properties has also yet to be determined.
Dean shared the following statement to Instagram on Saturday: “It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own,”
“We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness,” he wrote in a since-deleted post.
