Paris Hilton has hit back at Mauricio Umansky after he discussed a family feud that erupted years ago in a new teaser for his show, Buying Beverly Hills.
Mauricio is the estranged husband of Kyle Richards who is Paris’ aunt, with her sister being Kathy Hilton, the socialite’s mother.
The 53-year-old real estate agent used to work for Paris’ father Rick at the real estate agency Hilton & Hyland, before leaving to set up his own firm, The Agency in 2011.
According to Mauricio, his split from the firm started a rift between the two families.
In a preview for his series Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio can be seen discussing his departure from the Hilton fold.
The reality star explained that he wanted to become a partner at the company but “got kind of f***ed by Hilton & Hyland.”

Sitting around a table with a group of friends, he said: “And when I say: “f***ed,” you know, like, today I’m happy, but there was 100 agents at Hilton & Hyland. They did a billion dollars for the first time a year, I was 19.6% of their production, and I went to Rick and said, ‘I’d really like equity, right? And to be a partner.'”
He continued: “Then I went home, I talked to Kyle, I go, ‘This is really gonna cause a lot of stress between you and your sister and your family, and I don’t wanna do this move of leaving and starting a company if you’re not comfortable.'”
Kyle however “was 100% supportive,” and Mauricio broke away from Hilton & Hyland and set up The Agency.
Mauriio then recalled how his old bosses asked: “How did you not give us any warning or any issue?”
This then prompted Mauricio to respond: “Warning?”
In a confessional, the real estate agent told the camera: “I think Hilton & Hyland is an amazing company and I would never be caught dead speaking poorly about them because I don’t think poorly about them, and I am Rick’s brother-in-law.”
He added: “But unfortunately it got sour because it really affected the family – Kyle more than anybody. You know, her family stopped speaking to her, but she understood that what was done to me was wrong and she stood by me, and at the end of the day, I needed that.”
Paris Hilton has since taken to her social media and hit back at her uncle for exposing the feud.
She wrote: “My father is a consummate gentleman and has always taken the higher road.”
“He would never speak negatively about his family, especially in the press. Frankly we are all sick of him using the Hilton name every chance he gets to plug his lame show. It is enough already..”
Back in July, it was reported that Mauricio had separated from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
After a “tough year,” the pair continue to live under the same roof in LA, but lead individual lives as they try to navigate what to do about their marriage.
