Mauricio Umansky tells daughters he wanted to do ‘everything possible’ to ‘save’ his marriage to Kyle Richards

Mauricio Umansky tells his daughters he wanted to do ‘everything possible’ to save his marriage to Kyle Richards.

Back in July, it was reported that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star had separated from her husband Mauricio.

In a new teaser clip from the season 2 premiere of Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio sits down with his three eldest daughters, Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Farrah, 35, and things get emotional as he reveals the extent of his issues with Kyle.

In the clip, Mauricio said: “I had an amazing 26 years with your mom, and I wanted to do everything possible to just save it.”

“Your mom came and she talked to me and said, ‘I think I need space’.”

She continued: “She said to me, ‘Listen, the rules are: you go out, you date, you do whatever it is you want to do. I’m not going to be asking you what you’re doing, I don’t want you to be asking me what I’m doing.”

“We are separated,'” he said, as his daughters wiped tears from their eyes.

Farrah, who is Kyle’s daughter from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie, said:”It’s so weird to even be having these conversations.”

“I definitely could not have predicted where my life was going to be one year ago.”

Sophia added: “We only even found out there were any issues just a few months ago… and now it’s like, things have changed so quickly.”

Alexia then chimed in: “I’m sorry that we’re all going through this.”

“Me too”, Mauricio chimed in, somberly.

Alexia, and Sophia and Farrah, work with their father at his firm, The Agency, and star together on Buying Beverly Hills,

Kyle and Mauricio’s youngest daughter, Portia, was absent from the discussion.

After a “tough year,” the pair continue to live under the same roof in LA, but lead individual lives as they try to navigate what to do about their marriage.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently revealed during an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, that she and her estranged husband were in therapy hoping to identify the root of their problems.

Kyle explained to her co-star Dorit Kemsley that a major issue between her and the real estate agent is that they barely get into fights, which she claims has detrimentally impacted their communication.

The 55-year-old said: “So often it’s like, something will bother one of us and it’s like we’d just rather be peaceful and just not deal.”

“I am more the one that will say ‘this upsets me’ and I have that fiery side where he’s more like just wants to be peaceful all the time, but that’s not always a good thing.”

She continued: “I almost feel like he thinks ‘give Kyle some time and she’ll get over and she’ll be fine’ but I’m telling him … it’s a lot more than that.”

“We need help.”

She then admitted: “If there’s no effort, we’re not going to end up together.”

Kyle continued to tell Dorit: “He has to say yes to more things because the Agency is expanding so much.”

“So I’m like, if we’re having an issue why can’t you give that energy that you give to the company?”

Kyle has previously said that her and Mauricio are still on good terms and spent Christmas together.

A source told the outlet that the former couple “looked cordial” and “spoke to one another a few times throughout their time there.”

Both Kyle and Mauricio shared snaps of their holiday on Instagram, however, neither featured their former spouse on their stories.
