Kourtney Kardashian has revealed her daughter Penelope’s strong dislike for Tristan Thompson.
The reality star’s sister Khloe split from the NBA player at the end of 2021, after it was revealed that he fathered a child with another woman while they were still together.
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney shared her thoughts on Tristan, who shares two children with Khloe.
While awaiting Khloe and Tristan’s arrival at their family home in Palm Springs, the POOSH founder revealed why her 11-year-old isn’t a fan of Khloe’s ex.
“I feel like she gets it from me,” Kourtney confessed.
“I told her the first day of school, I was so triggered by him … I know why, but I feel like we all brush it off and are fine, and then I was just so triggered and I was like, ‘I just can’t do it anymore.’
The Lemme founder elaborated further on her feelings towards the basketball player and said: “Tristan has made horrible decisions and choices with my sister.”
“There’s times when I’m so triggered by him I can’t be around him and then there’s times when I just let it go because we just want harmony and, you know, he’s the father of my niece and nephew.”
Khloe herself then reflected on her relationship status with her ex-boyfriend, and insisted that Penelope and the rest of the Kardashian family are right for feeling that way.
“I’m really proud of myself for where me and Tristan are and how I am able to allow him to be the father he wants to be,” she said.
“But where I am at with Tristan has nothing to do with what I expect my family members to do. If Penelope has feelings about Tristan, rightfully so. And good for you, girl.”
The 39-year-old reiterated that she didn’t want her young niece to think that Tristan’s past behaviour was acceptable – with the aim of setting an example for the young members of the Kardashian clan.
“I want Penelope to have these feelings and I don’t wanna talk her out of them because I don’t want this behavior to be something that I’m validating or I’m justifying,” the Good American founder explained.
“I want her to know that how she feeling is the right way to feel. We should not accept someone treating us like this.”
Khloe and Tristan have had a turbulent relationship over the years, with Tristan being accused of infidelity on multiple occasions.
However, the couple split from good at the end of 2021 when it was revealed he fathered a child with another woman while the pair were still in a relationship.
Khloe and her ex share two children together – daughter True, 5, and son Tatum, 1.
