Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike have split after less than two years together.
The Euphoria co-stars first sparked romance rumours in December 2021 when they were papped holding hands on a night out in West Hollywood.
They confirmed their romance the following February, as Dominic took to Instagram to wish Hunter a Happy Birthday.
During an Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe, Dominic subtly confirmed he and Hunter had called it quits, as he detailed his struggle with co-dependency.
The Euphoria star said: “I’m just done being in relationships right now.”
Opening up about his view that love is needing someone, the 27-year-old said he wanted time alone to get out of the “loop”.
“That has actually bled into my romantic relationships, that kind of dynamic,” the actor admitted. “And it is often the cause of the end of my relationship.”
Speaking about his former romance with Hunter, the 3 Nights singer said: “I could make music around her, which was crazy.”
““I was looking through songs the other day and found one that I made with her. I was like, ‘Man, that was so cool.’”
“But the fact of me saying that — of being uncomfortable being alone — that’s a bad thing. So, I decided to just be alone for a while.”
On whether there will be tension between himself and Hunter on set of Euphoria’s third season, Dominic admitted: “I think it’ll be fine. We’re all adults kind of. I’m trying.”
