RTE has revealed their new season of programmes with plenty of well-known Irish faces.

The Rubberbandits will lead the way with the release a new comedy series Guide to 1916.

The Limerick pair will be recreating the 1916 rising in their new show which is set to be released early next year.

Another comedy duo appearing on the broadcaster is Jennifer Maguire and Bernard OS’hea who bring their 80’s-tastic couple Bridget and Eamon to the small screen in a spin-off series from Republic of Telly.

Meanwhile, Bressie will be showing the link between mental health and exercise in his upcoming documentary Bressie’s Iron Mind.

The new documentary will show the Irish singer training four people to compete in the grueling half Ironman challenge.

RTE2 are backing women this season with strong Irish female line-up appearing on the station throughout the year.

Previous reality bites hosts Vogue Williams, Maia Dunphy and Angela Scanlon will each be back with new a documentary series.

Howth native Vogue will be meeting women who don’t meet the fairer sex ideals in three part series Mean Girls.

This year RTE 2 have commissioned over 30 series and 18 documentaries showcasing the best in Irish talent.
