Reality TV star Marc O'Neill: 'I wanted people to not remember me as yer man off Tallafornia'

Big Brother star Marc O’Neill has revealed the reason he signed up for the renowned reality show was to shake off his Tallafornia persona.

Opening up about his time on the Channel 5 programme, the 29-year-old admitted he needed to “redeem” himself after his appearance on Tallafornia.

“In a way, this may sound bad, Tallafornia…cringe!” he said.

“I couldn’t watch a whole episode myself without cringing so I wanted to, in a way, redeem myself and I wanted people to not remember me as ‘yer man off Tallafornia’ like the rest of them idiots!

“I didn’t want to be part of that; I want to be known for me,” he added.

The soon-to-be science graduate didn’t hold back when speaking about his former TV3 cast mate Phil Penney who accused Marc of bullying him while he was in the Big Brother house.

“I genuinely didn’t even think I was going to get on the show…sure didn’t Phil say he was on the show and he didn’t even get past the first audition?! Now that’s cringey!” he admitted.

“He was all over the papers saying ‘I made Big Brother’…Phil, you don’t even have a bus pass, go away!”

Speaking on the Seven O’Clock show, the controversial TV star insisted he didn’t drive former Big Brother contestant Brian Belo over the wall of the house.

“You know when someone lies about you an awful lot and every time I caught him out for lying he couldn’t come up with a reason why he was lying,” he admitted.

“And then I splashed him with water, a grown man jumped over the wall because I splashed him with water?

“That’s what he told the diary room, that’s what he told everyone else and they all got so offended,” he revealed.

“I told them all ‘come to Ireland for a week’, guarantee you will never come back, if you get offended that easily, you’ll never come back.”

Hinting this isn’t the last we’ll see of him, the stripper teased he’ll be back on the small screen soon.

“I have my eye on something else, I can’t really say,” he smiled.
