PICS: Waterford’s Winterval is a magical wonderland

The festivities continue in the city this weekend

Waterford’s annual festival Winterval is back – and it’s a magical wonderland.

The opening weekend saw over 120,000 flood the city for the festival, now in it’s fifth year.

Mayor Adam Wyse was joined by the man himself, Santa, as they travelled down the new Waterford Greenway on Harley Davidsons, followed by 20 Grinches on bicycles.

In Waterford city, there are over 30 different fun events and activities for people of all ages – families, couples, friends and everyone in-between.

Even better, many of the events are free at Winterval so you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank.

From travelling around the city on a special Christmas train to ice skating to screenings of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, you’re sure to never be bored this weekend.

The festival continues this weekend and to find out more information, check out their website HERE.
